Dragon Scarf – Crochet PATTERN
After hunting for a Dragon Scarf pattern, but not finding one that fitted with the idea I had in my head, I decided to make my own. Eventually this fiery chap emerged from my ball of wool. You could use any weight of wool for this pattern, however any changes would affect the length, width, and overall size, of the finished piece. When made with chunky wool it will fit an adult, but the length can easily be worked to fit a child. Suggested Yarn: James C. Brett Lakeland Chunky – Colour K6 Pattern Level: Intermediate Pattern supplied as a digital download. This pattern is written in UK terminology. A UK to US terminology conversion chart is included as a separate file with this pattern.

This listing is for a crochet pattern for a dinosaur hood or dragon hood. It works for both! Sometimes called a cowl or scoodie, these animal hoods are very popular with children in the cold weather. This crochet pattern uses UK crochet terms. A version using US terms is also available in our shop. ******************************************* HAT \u0026 SCARF This dinosaur hood, sometimes called a dinosaur cowl or even scoodie, is a great cosy hat and scarf all in one. It slips over the head easily, is super soft and snuggly and will keep out a cold wind, and even light rain. and how fun are the spikes \u0026 tail! SIZING Instructions are given for six different sizes of dinosaur hood, from baby to adult. The baby size can also be used to fit a doll so your child and their toy can have matching animal heads! YARN This pattern uses chunky yarn so this pattern crochets up fast. We used DROPS Eskimo for the one you see in the pictures. HOOK SIZE Using chunky yarn, we recommend a 9mm hook for the main hood pattern and a 6.5mm hook for the spikes and tails. COLOURS Choose whichever colours you like! We’ve gone for traditional dinosaur colours but you could easily turn this into a dragon hood or dragon cowl by using other colours. Perhaps red with orange spikes! One of our customers crocheted hers in light grey with bright pink spikes and tail for her daughter!
