ently made shawls I made complimentary Irish rose brooches and I firmly believe that do make a huge difference once pinned on said shawls. This is not a traditional crochet Irish rose pattern. I designed it a little bit differently and this time instead of cotton I used an acrylic (worsted) variegated yarn. In particular, I used Nako’s Vals for all the pieces of my newest collection. I used a 3mm steel hook. Used stitches: chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), triple crochet (tr). American terminology used. Pattern: Ch 5 and join to make a ring. Round 1: sc 6 in round. Round 2: Ch4 and hdc1 in first (base) st. Sl st in next st, ch 4 and hdc1 in that same stitch. Repeat this pattern for all remaining 4 stitches. Round 3: ch3 and sl st (from behind the made petals) between 2 petals. Make 6 such chains. Round 4: In the first chain space, sc1, dc3, sc1. Sl st into the next ch-space and repeat this pattern for the remaining chains. Round 5: ch4 and sl st (from behind the made petals) between 2 petals. Make 6 such chains.
