Blue Stained Glass
For the beginner stained glass artist! Instant download, digital pdf. Resize to fit your needs! I’ve created a few patterns perfect for learning to make stained glass without being overwhelming. The top two patterns are perfect for a first project. The heart is great for practicing scoring and breaking outside curves. The curvy middle line prevents a hinge point and can provide a slight challenge for those just starting out! The pinwheel square is also a great first project for practicing fit and straight accurate scoring. It is a strongly designed pattern showing another example of how hinge points can be avoided/reinforced by adding perpendicular lines in your future designs. The bottom two patterns are a bit more challenging. I’d recommend trying these for a third project. Either pattern utilizes curved lines which makes fitting your pieces together a bit harder. Both are meant to help you improve your curved cutting and scoring skills, as well as to help you to figure out how to grind your pieces so that th
ey fit nice and snug without making your pattern “grow”. The top two patterns would be great to bring to a local stained glass class as they are simple enough to make in a short amount of time.
