A COPY OF A VINTAGE 1970’s ENGLISH KNITTING PATTERN to make a PATCHWORK BLANKET … CUSHION and PONCHO Make up the squares in a choice of 6 different stitch patterns then sew them together to create either A blanket, a poncho or a cushion !! Shown in bright assorted colours but even a single colour would look great using the different stitch patterns to create the textured look Worked with a double knit 8 ply yarn on UK Size 10/3.25mm needles (US 3) You can use an alternative yarn and appropriate needle sizes but check the tension to ensure the correct finished size The bedspread shown is 90 X 60 inches Each square should measure 5 X 5 inches The fringe requires 7 ounces or 225 grams of oddments The poncho can be made longer by adding more rows of squares Likewise the cushion and blanket can be made larger Instructions included to create fringing for all the items shown Also Included with your pattern.. This is the most perfectly oversized, cosiest cardigan made from six basic popular stitches for beginners: Garter, Moss, Stockinette, Reverse stockinette, Rib and Andalusian. The idea is that each panel or stitch can be practiced in one pattern and are all interchangeable to whichever stitch to panel you like. This pattern will be based on the stitches and colours combos I have chosen from garment in the pictures. The cardigan is split up into 5 main sections. The back and two front panels are knitted flat and then the two balloon style sleeves knitted in the round.
