KNITTING PATTERN // Hope Shawl // Pocket Shawl // Pocket Scarf // Beginner Knitter // Chunky Knit // Knit Pocket Shawl Pattern // DIY

***Please note: KNITTING PATTERN ONLY!*** This includes a PDF digital download, NOT the finished product. If you are interested in purchasing one of these lovely shawls, I am happy to take a custom order. Yarn: you will need 5 skeins of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick or 490 yards of size 6 (super bulky) yarn, PLUS EXTRA if adding fringe. This is a knitting pattern for adventurous beginner knitters. The body of the shawl is a very mindless knit, but attaching the pockets might be a new skill for you to learn. Designer assumes the user is familiar with knit, and purl stitches. Written in standard American knitting instructions. July 2020, the “perfect pocket shawl” started circulating Facebook and Instagram like wildfire. Many friends and family tagged me in posts, asking me to make one. But there was one problem – it’s a crochet pattern! Unfortunately, I can’t crochet, and not for lack of trying. My brain simply refuses to learn! So, I decided to interpret the design into knit, using a super bulky yarn to speed up the process. My friend Hope volunteered to be my first customer of this design, so this shawl is named after her. The word “hope” is also extremely meaningful to me this year, as the world is in a state of chaos. Hope is powerful, and we need every bit of it right now. Remember that, every time you put on your Hope Shawl. Wrap yourself up in it. *NO RETURNS ON DIGITAL ITEMS. I do not offer refunds, returns or cancellations on purchases of digital files. I state clearly in the listing, on the photo, and in the description that it is a DIGITAL FILE. If a customer purchases it thinking it is a finished item, that is the customers error. \u2028Your files will be available to download once payment is confirmed.* Please do not copy, share alter or sell this pattern, but finished products are permissible for sale. I only ask that you give credit to Alabaster Purl. I would love to see your work, so if you’re on Instagram, use hashtag #alabasterpurl and #hopeshawl
