This is an Ombre Rainbow (OmbRainbow- see what I did there?!) -two strands of yarn are used at the same time so that each colour blends and flows into the next. I have designed it to be easy to follow, so it is beginner friendly and I give you the colour recipe and amounts of yarn you will need. There is a photo tutorial included to help you make the bobble pom poms which are crocheted as you make the blanket and therefore won’t shed or fall off. It is a larger, longer version of my Rainbow Drop blanket which can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/889154846/rainbow-drop-blanket-pattern-by-melu Materials 5.5mm hook Yarn: I used Hobbii Bamboo Rainbow. Approximate amounts: Grey 31g Violet 50g Indigo 53g Blue 60g Green 67g Yellow 77g Orange 89g Red 95g Cream 86g You could substitute with any dk yarn but amounts would need to be adjusted. I have also given a full colour recipe below. Yarn Needle 2 stitch markers Size 110cm x 92cm (43 x 36 inches) Tension 9st and 7 rows in tr to 10cm/4in using 5.5mm hook or size needed to obtain tension. Baby blanket
—This is an INSTANT PDF PATTERN DOWNLOAD ONLY— —A physical item will NOT be shipped— The Bobbles and Stripes Blanket is an easy crochet pattern, perfect for enthusiastic beginners as it uses a variety of basic crochet stitches and easy color changes! Full instructions and the pattern repeat are included to make the blanket ANY size. I want you to succeed in making this blanket and LOVE it! In late June, I began to get the itch for autumn – I know, a bit too early! I started sifting through my yarn stash and discovered that I had just the right colors to create a fall-themed crochet blanket filled with offset bobbles and stripes. (The original name for this blanket was “The Harvest Berries Blanket,” but I quickly realized that this pattern would be gorgeous in any colors – including a stunning monochromatic palette!) This cozy blanket is made from alternating rows to create a beautifully textured pattern. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn from Yarnspirations (a worsted weight yarn), but I encourage you to experiment with different yarns to find one that fits your personal style! If you are searching for yarns similar to Caron Simply Soft, I recommend exploring Yarn Sub (https://yarnsub.com/), a free and independent tool to help crocheters find the perfect yarn substitutes! The blanket is finished with a simple border along all four sides, complemented by a jumbo multicolored tassel on each corner. The finished baby blanket featured in this pattern’s photos measures 37.5” x 38.5.” In this PDF pattern, you will find: – A detailed 63-page tutorial with 116 step-by-step color photos that teach you exactly how to crochet this blanket (including photos showing you where to place your hook and stitch!) – Instructions provided for body of the blanket, border, tassels, and fastening off/weaving in all yarn tails – A comprehensive supply list, including yardage estimates for the sample blanket’s size – Tips that are written as if I am teaching a good friend, so you will encounter minimal abbreviations or crochet jargon – Instructions written in US terms Although the instructions are very detailed, I recommend you be familiar with the following stitches that are used in this blanket: – Foundation chain stitches – Slip stitches – Single crochet stitches – Half double crochet stitches – Double crochet stitches Complete pattern support is available if you have any questions along the way! —TERMS \u0026 CONDITIONS— © Allison M.
