Lady in Grey Coat and Hat are designed to fit 18 inch dolls like American Girl and other dolls with similar body measurements ( The design is based on the so-called Baby Doll style dresses that are known for their wide skirts and shortened close fitting bodices. The coat is worked from bottom up, with front button closure, shaped armholes and neckline, and straight sleeves. Transition from skirt to bodice is achieved by working multiple decreases on the transition row. The hat is slightly felted to keep its shape. Felting is done in a regular washing machine and takes approximately 5 minutes. Felting instructions are included.Pattern written in row by row and stitch by stitch format.
