I was thinking of making a stole for wedding which also can be used as a veil. So the pattern is very easy – repeating of 15 rows with a thin border of garter stitches. You can always adjust the length by increasing or decreasing the amount of repeats. Also the stole can look pretty different with any other yarn so there is a lot of variations. But with the original yarn you’ll receive a featherweight peace of art. Skill level: Intermediate. You will need: – 100g of lace weight yarn (orig: Jaggerspun Zephyr wool/silk) – US 2 1/5 needles (3mm) – 15g of seed beads US 8 size (optional)

This lovely lacy wrap is the perfect addition to a beautiful bridal gown but would be just as suitable for a special wedding guest or bridesmaid. Gorgeous in traditional tones of white, ivory or pearl and equally stunning in lilac, duck-egg blue and pale dusky pink…or how about one for the theatre (or to match bridesmaid dresses) in deep red, emerald or purple?….Whichever you choose I am confident that this stylish pattern will look wonderful. Suitable for an intermediate knitter. You are purchasing a high quality pdf pattern: Other Materials needed: 1 x 100g Skein Fybrespates Sumptuous Lace or equivalent lace yarn 3.50 mm/ USA size 4 Needles (I favour a circular needle to comfortably accommodate all the stitches but straights are fine) 0.6mm Toho beads…Approx 375 used. Example made with silver-lined crystal beads. Large eyed yarn needle, for weaving in ends. Rust proof blocking pins…minimum of 65. Finished Size/Gauge: Gauge is not critical for this garment but a nice even tension will produce the best results. Blocking the garment is essential and will cover most anomalies. Finished size after blocking approx 15 inches x 85 inches (38 cms x 215 cms) Method: The Wrap is worked by making a provisional cast on and then working one of the deep border edges. Once you have cast off this first edge, the provisional cast on stitches are picked up and the body of the wrap, together with the other deep border edge is worked as one piece. Thus no seaming or demarcation lines. It is worked flat, turning after every row. Any questions please do message me.. 🙂

This wonderful fine art lace stole is knitted in an ancient victorian ajour pattern. The flowery crocheted border makes the filigree look just perfect. I worked this stole in all sorts of yarns, beginning with Italian KidSilk, continuing with Tussah Silk yarn, finest Babyalpaca yarn or pure China Silk. I have added some photos for you to see the variety of looks, just working with different yarns. I love this design so much – hope you will share this passion with me 😉
