For you to try at cost price, I created this simple sock pattern. I love giving these as presents to expecting friends and they are always very well received. They fit much better than commercial socks or booties and will fit a baby from 0 to about 6 months or longer… You can knit them in any 4 ply baby yarn you like, either wool or cotton or blends. They take only 2 hours to knit. This pattern is knit in the round and uses DPN’s or a circular needle, if you prefer to use Magic loop technique. This lising is for a pattern for a pair of socks that is knit from the top (cuff) down on two circular needles, with an *optional* 12-inch needle. The stitches combine the best of two worlds: cable and lace. The placement of the stitches causes one to scratch their heads at how the stitches seem to wander, fooling even those philosopher’s at the symposium. The cable is tight enough so that the sock is still warm despite the lace treatment, however it is knit with lightweight sock yarn, making it the perfect sock to wear with capri’s in the spring, so that you can show off your knitting prowess. The pattern is written for two circular needles. The focal stitch is both written out and charted. The directions are written for all three sizes: Small, Medium and Large Skill Level: Intermediate – Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting, cabling and lace).
